Planar’s advanced battery technologies include a proprietary battery architecture with a family of Planar-developed and licensed advanced materials.  These combine to enable a family of large capacity batteries built on a common, economical manufacturing platform. Planar's technology offers the safest, highest energy density, lithium ion cells and batteries.

Planar's next generation batteries in development will deliver the ultimate in safety and reliability by removing the most dangerous element, the liquid electrolyte, and making the entire battery solid state.  These next generation products are on track for customer testing and sampling in 2010.
